John Heckle is a Dublin based DJ/Producer from Liverpool UK, and a purveyor of all things unordinary in electronic music. Having a wide knowledge and interest in music beyond just the conventional dancefloor, John has composed everything from synth heavy house music and lofi box jams to starry-eyed techno and melancholic ambience. As both a DJ and Live Performer, John is known for an emphasis on energy and improvisation, with a fast paced mixing style that spans multiple musical genres, and a live performance in which he operates an assembly of hardware in an often singular manner. Having been in the game for over a decade, John has produced records for many go-to imprints such as Mathematics Recordings, Tabernacle Records, Crème Organization, Bedouin and MOS. His releases include three full length studio albums, The Second Son, Desolate Figures & Tone To Voice (as well as The Last Magic Maker mini-album), plus multiple singles, remixes and EPs. Life on Titan, his debut for Mathematics, picked up a Qwartz Electronic Music Award in Paris 2012.
In 2014 John anonymously produced 10 records for Tabernacle sub-label Head Front Panel, an alias he continues to use for many harder edged productions and live performances.
John also runs a monthly radio show on KMAH Radio Leeds (The Universal Frequency Show) in which he commonly reaches into a deeper and more unusual musical tapestry.
